MailProvision

Self-serve registration for your Google Workspace.

Stop adding members one at a time in admin.google.com. Connect your Google Workspace, share one invite link, and let members provision their own @yourdomain.com accounts, with a monthly cap so you stay in control of what hits your Workspace bill.

Set up in 5 minutes. Your first 5 provisions are free. No credit card.

How MailProvision works

How it works

Connect once. Share a link.

OAuth into your Google Workspace, generate a branded invite link, and share it where your members already are, Slack, a roster email, a member portal. New accounts arrive in under 30 seconds.

Scope

Only what we need

Two minimal Google Workspace OAuth scopes. admin.directory.user to create accounts, plus admin.directory.domain.readonly to list your domains. We never read existing users.

Stay in control

Monthly cap, no surprises

Set max provisions per month and max uses per invite link. Past the monthly cap, new signups pause until you raise the limit or add a top-up pack. You decide.

Frequently asked

Questions about provisioning Google Workspace users

Short, specific answers about how self-serve registration works on Google Workspace.

How do I let users sign themselves up for Google Workspace?

Google Workspace has no built-in self-registration, every account must be created by an admin in admin.google.com or via the Admin SDK Directory API. MailProvision fills that gap. You connect your Workspace once via OAuth, generate a shareable invite link, and members provision their own @yourdomain.com account in under 30 seconds. You stay in control via a monthly cap, per-link usage limits, and a configurable signup form.

Does MailProvision charge per provisioned user?

No. MailProvision charges a flat $29/month per connected Google Workspace ($19/month for verified 501(c)(3) non-profits). Google still charges its own per-user Workspace fee separately, which goes directly to Google, not to us. Our pricing is flat so you don't get penalized for onboarding more members.

What Google permissions does MailProvision need?

Two minimal OAuth scopes: admin.directory.user to create new users, and admin.directory.domain.readonly to list the domains attached to your Workspace. We never read or modify existing users. The complete list is on our security page.

How does the monthly spend cap work?

You set a number, typically 25, and MailProvision allows that many account creations per calendar month. Past the cap, new signups via your invite links pause until you raise the limit or buy a one-time top-up pack (+25 for $15, +50 for $25, +100 for $40). Unused pack credits carry over month-to-month indefinitely, so paying for a 100-pack in February still has you covered in July if you only used 30 of them.

Can I provision accounts across multiple domains under one Google Workspace?

Yes. If your Workspace has multiple primary domains (not aliases), each invite code can route into a specific domain. One subscription covers all domains under that Workspace.

How does this compare to Okta, JumpCloud, or Rippling?

Those are full identity governance and access (IGA) platforms designed for medium-to-large enterprises and priced accordingly at $5-$15 per user per month, plus implementation. MailProvision is intentionally narrow: it does one thing, self-serve registration into Google Workspace, for small organizations that need that specific capability without the IGA stack or the seat-based bill.

How long does account provisioning take?

Under 30 seconds end-to-end. A member submits the invite form, we call Google's Admin SDK Directory API (users.insert) to create the account, and they receive an email at their recovery address with their temporary password. They sign in at accounts.google.com and are prompted to set a permanent password on first login.

How do I get the non-profit price?

Same product, $19/month instead of $29 for verified 501(c)(3) non-profits. Reach out to [email protected] when you sign up with your 501(c)(3) determination letter (or equivalent proof of non-profit status). We'll discuss it over email and apply the discount to your Workspace.

Is MailProvision verified by Google?

We're currently in Google's OAuth verification process for sensitive scopes. During this pilot phase, you'll see an "unverified app" warning on the consent screen, that's expected and our connect page walks you through it. Verification typically clears in 4-8 weeks.
